Primetime Cappers **PICKS and RATINGS POLICY**
December 26, 2009 by Primetime Capper
I will rate my top plays of the day as Game of Day (GOD). These will obviously be the highest plays of the day on any particular sport.
My second plays will be Game of Day runner up (GOD RU) and these will be slightly lower than my GOD’s.
Finally, I will also have my Game of Week (GOW) or even Game of Month (GOM) if I truly feel the pick is too good to pass up.

FF’S Betting Philosophy:
I believe in strict money management. If you do not have this you are a gambler, plain and simple and a gambler never wins! I personally do not believe in doubling up after a loss or chasing money that is lost. This is when a bettor gets into trouble. If you follow my strict money management process and star ratings you will succeed continually over a prolonged period of time.
My philosophy comes down to how confident I am in my information relevant to the line that Vegas has released. More often than not my higher rated games are between teams that odds makers won’t spend as much time on. That is where you can catch the mistakes and cash in! I rank all of my games on a 1-10 star rating. You can see what a 6* vs. a 4* or a 10* means below.
The amount of money you place on a wager should be directly correlated to the star rating. You can set this however you want. However, as I stressed before money management is the most important thing in betting and winning not just in one week but over a prolonged period of time. What I would suggest is figuring out what your bank roll is. For example we will use $1,000 as a players bank roll. I recommend that you should never bet over your head which in this case your typical bets should be 2.5% of your bank roll which is $25. Depending on the strength of play you would want to increase your wager amount.
Star Rating
Note: You may sometimes here me use the phrase dime or 4Dime play. This is just my own term and what I play on a game. $500 = 1/2 Dime which is a 1 unit or 1** play for me here. So if I say 4Dime play this is the same as a 8** play or $4,000 personal wager! This is the best way I can explain it some times when I’m writing up plays real fast I use different terms!
1-2* = Good Bets (1-DIME PLAYS)
3-4* = Action Bets (2-DIME PLAY)
5-6* = Best Bets (3-DIME PLAYS)
7-8* = Top Bets (Week) (4-DIME PLAYS)
9-10* = Super Bet (Month or Year) (5-DIME PLAYS)
*****SSG PICK AND RATING POLICY – REVISED*****
September 15, 2008 by SSG
*****SSG NEW PICK POLICY AS OF 10/15/08*****
We rate our picks using a star (*) system for units. You will multiply the star rating by your base wager. We currently use a base wager of 1 unit = 100 so that if a 5* play is displayed, this would equal 500 units. We typically rate games from 1-10 stars. A 8*-9* pick would be our best pick of the week and a 10* Rating would be a top play of the month or year. We will very rarely give out a 10* pick.
Star Rating
1*-3* = Good Bets
4*-5* = Action Bets
6*-7* = Best Bets
8*-9* = Top Bets (Week)
10* = Super Bet (Month or Year)
2nd Half Ratings for Picks
SSG rates 2nd half positions on a 1*-5* scale. The unit scale for these ratings should be 1/2 unit. An example would be a 2* Rated game is equivalent to 1 unit. 2nd half picks can be found either for Free or as a premium pick on our experts page. Cost for a 2nd Half pick ranges from $5 – $10.
We do all types of wagers including Parlays, Straight and reverses.
